i do love this one, i find the reflection on wall a bit to bright, kinda distracts from the man.. gives it a sort of washed out feel.

all in all, though, i do think this is a good photo.

cool shot!, i think that if you where to rotate the image about 2.5 degrees clockwise to make your horizontal line parallel with the top edge of the image, would go a long way in making this good shot great!

not a bad suggestion by any means. i simply hadn't thought of it. i'm gonna post it like that and see what happens. cheers.

thanks.. i suppose i could burn it in a bit at some point.. it's always been one of my personal favourites.. what do you think of the rotation? i'm not sure about it yet but i think i may just be too used to the old one.

i did happen to see it that way, earlier tonight... i like alot! I have come to the conclusion that attention to little ques like this go along way in saying look at me! i am quality, i actually do a lot wiht perspective cropping to bring slanting walls and trees into line!

personally, i loathe going back and doing any cropping or touching up. on rare occasion i will touch it up in post just because my scanner is rubbish and i want it to look like the print on screen. but i usually don't bother. lose some of the clarity and colour vibrance in the process but sure it's just dA.. i'm a bit more selective when it comes to portfolios or publishing. but generally speaking i feel that if i didn't get it right composing it through the lens it would be cheating to go back and do it in post.. but that's just me.. obviously i can't get it right all the time and sometimes the image is worth salvaging over a minor error. this is a case for that. though, i still can't decide if i like it better like this or a bit wonky as it was.

I know exactly where you are coming from! if you noticed ( i really dont suspect that you would go through my gallery) That all of my deviations with the exception of the last 25 or so are full framed uncropped images! and very little processing! wich generally consisted of resizing and bordering!

i have, in fact gone through your gallery. i do resize my photos for web viewing but i scan them very high res for prints so it's necessary. especially with dialup.
